Corona Lockdown and our start of the journey

Eisbär in Duisburg

We had planned the start of the trip for February 17th, 2020. But due to offices and insurance as well as family matters, our start date was postponed to the beginning of March. Who knows what that was good for ?? !!! We now know that nothing better could have happened to us.

The lockdown first in Europe, then in Germany

By then, you had heard of Corona, but hadn't really bothered about it. Then the neighboring countries started to close the borders and we got a little grumpy because we couldn't leave yet. In the meantime, Corona had also arrived in Germany. At first there was still the idea of going on a tour of the Federal Republic of Germany, since we hadn't seen everything here either and wanted to see a lot again. But then it was said that even domestic travel should be avoided. Especially since we gradually noticed that camping or parking spaces for tourism are closing. Since we could only stand independently for a maximum of 3 days and then would need a disposal station for black water at least, that didn't help us of course. Not even that one or the other federal state would not let tourists in. So it was actually quite good for us that we didn't get out until then. We would probably have been rather annoyed to be abroad and then to go to Germany as soon as possible because of the Corona, because one is expelled from the country. We heard that from other motorhome owners !!

Wait, drink tea and ...

So we are now waiting for the things to come and hope that our start abroad will not be postponed too long !!!

In the meantime, until this relaxation for traveling in Germany is released or the borders to the Baltic States are reopened, we will devote ourselves to our indoor hobbies.
