In November 2019, before our start of the European trip, we were surprised with a farewell party in the closest circle of our friends, family and neighbors. It was so great and incredibly well organized by everyone, without we suspecting anything! A parting present was a picture frame that we received from my sister and our brother-in-law. There were bills stuck in from different euro countries that have no euro currency, but also a euro note for the euro countries. They also formulated wishes for us and our trip as well as for themselves. Just great and a great idea. Of course we took the banknotes out of the frame and took them with us on our trip. In every country where the currency is different, this banknote is used and a cup of coffee is bought and drunk from it. And of course there will also be a photo of it.

1. Polen with zloty
At the campsite on Gardno lake we treated ourselves to our first coffee. It was a machine coffee that was good to drink. For the 20 zloty it would have been enough for four cups in total. 😀
2. Estonia for the euro
We have the coffee in Kuressaare, on the island of Saaremaa, in a small café. Here, too, we would have got 4 cups for the money. We drank it on the terrace or rushed it, because after 2 minutes there were already a lot of mosquitoes and wanted our blood. But the coffee was delicious!
3. Sweden with Swedish kronor
In Norrköping we were out and about in the city when Melli became thirsty for coffee 🙂. There was a small Hawaiian-style ice bar at the cactus garden. Melli got her coffee and Basti a small, very tasty ice cream. The 50 kroner would not have been enough for two coffees. Different countries, different prices. 😀
