The coastal region has us back sooner than we intended. Our plan was to stay inland by the lakes and nature reserves. It always turns out differently than you think. What we noticed during the previous nights is that we often have a cuckoo nearby. It's amazing to hear that. Sometimes a second one answers, which almost sounds like an echo. But we haven't discovered any yet.

At Stegeborg - turning area to repair the car
A parking space around Norrkoping Finding it was a real challenge. There is little to stand free here, which is also quite attractive. We ended up on a street in a turning hammer near by Stegeborg confessed. This was also not visible from the street, which gave us a better feeling. The space was ideal for Basti, as there was enough light and not shaded by trees.
When we got there it rained a lot. Coffee time, we had a small cake. Then he used the rain break to check the brake light again. Everything taken apart, cleaned and put back together again. Basti is getting to know the car better and better, although it doesn't have to be that way. In the end everything worked, lights, brake lights and indicators! Hopefully it will still work tomorrow, otherwise the mood will be really bad.
Then came a thunderstorm and the next wall of rain. So he continued on the homepage, my next report has yet to be published. The dry phase came and immediately he pounced on the engine compartment. Dismantle everything possible, including the air filter, so that it can be measured on the wiring of the turbocharger. Then it was clear that it was the solenoid to the turbocharger. So it's time to go to the workshop in Norrköping on Monday. Maybe we're lucky and they have one in stock. Otherwise we have to wait the next few days until the part is there. My husband wants to install it himself.
As is so often the case, the rain clouds are gone in the evening and we have clear blue skies. Unfortunately not the best place for photos. Finja also enjoyed the day by sleeping a lot and only going out to pee. After a quiet night we were greeted with thick rain clouds. It's good that Basti did everything the day before, it's raining really hard. With the weather you don't feel like doing anything. But of course we don't want to stand still on the pitch.
When the rain clouds cleared somewhat, we drove to the ruins in Stegeborg, which we wanted to see. When we arrived we would have had to pay parking and entrance fees. But since we still had to eat and the next rain clouds were approaching, we drove on.
Bathing place in Alberga
We went over to the other side with the little ferry. Here in Sweden there are a lot of small ferries that replace the road. It is a maximum of 10 minutes driving time and costs nothing. After a few kilometers we took a break to eat at a picnic area. Finja could walk a few meters and then wanted to go back. Not a minute too early, the next thunderstorm came. Since Basti still wanted to edit some pictures and I was still writing, we decided not to do so much anymore. The weather didn't really play along either.
We then chose a parking space at a swimming area in Alberga by a lake. To get there, we had to take a second ferry. Here the waves were a bit stronger and the water a bit more restless. But it's still great to take the ferry instead of a bridge. The bathing area is very nice again and is well maintained. Fortunately, we can also dispose of rubbish.
Norrköping - beautiful city with some parks
Off to the Mercedes workshop to get the solenoid. Basti went in and came out 10 minutes later. The reel has been ordered and should be there the next day! Wow, that's quick. They also offered to build them in, they would have time for that. Basti declined with thanks, he has the ambition to do it himself. Since we still had to refill gas and fill up drinking water, we are still halfway through Norrkoping hazards.
When this was done, we drove to a parking space, parking lot for motorhomes, into the city. The weather was nice and we wanted to see the city a bit. The city has many parks and is very beautiful. We walked along a river where a fish ladder was also installed. One side of Norrköping is very industrial and has also converted old factory buildings into residential buildings.
in the Karl Johans Park they were just about to do that Cactus garden to make. The cacti are brought in in September and used again in May. It will be ready by midsummer.
There are still an incredible number of old buildings, and the main train station also looked impressive. However, these are made of stone. At the beginning of the 19th century, a ban on wooden houses was issued, as 2 fires within 4 years left around 5,500 people homeless. We had a coffee and ice cream by the river. It was 18 ° C and since we had cold and wet weather the last few days, we sat in the sun in T-shirts, just pleasant. We went back through the city to the bus. What did we enjoy this day, pure sunshine and a beautiful city.
Even though we stayed right in town, there wasn't much street noise and we slept well.
The next day we drove back to the workshop to get the spare part. Actually, it would just be fetching, paying and then back on again. But my husband didn't come out and I already had ideas like, it's not there yet. When he came back after 20 minutes with a spare part, he said that he had talked to the employee for so long that he was on vacation in northern Germany every year. Yeah, that's how it is with us, me horror performances and he pleasure. But we have the part and it can go on. Let's see if we can find a place in the next few days where he can install it.

Rock carvings from Släbro and Stendörren National Park
On the way to Stendörren National Park we still have them Rock carvings in Släbro viewed. The stones are in a park in the immediate vicinity of the school and residential buildings, which also takes care of the preservation of the incisions. Not that many of them have survived, but they all date from the Bronze Age (2200 - 800 BC). The visit was accordingly short and the explanations on the boards unfortunately only in Swedish.
When we arrived at Stendörrens National Park, it started raining again. Nevertheless, we made our way and walked a circular route that also went over a small island. Over 2 small wooden bridges it went over to a swing bridge on the larger island. Finja didn't want to run alone because she got scared by the vibrations.
It was a beautiful circular route, again over hill and dale, that went through the forest along the sea. Due to the many small and large islands, skerries, you didn't get the impression that you were at the sea. It is simply a natural dream to let your gaze wander over the archipelago.
Here, too, there are rest areas in the middle of the rocks with a fireplace and wood laid out. Simply great, so that nobody chops wood. At the tip of the small island you can then see the Naturum with the observation tower opposite.
We didn't run until Naturum. Since it is raining and a bit windy, the sea is a bit rough and therefore not as clear as we saw it in the photos. It was a nice little hike. In the sunshine you could have spent the day by the water.
We had actually hoped to be able to stand here in the parking lot. But camping was forbidden and so we had to look for another option. We couldn't use the next one we chose, so we drove to Tullgarn Castle.
